pancho beatrice
Pancho Alphonse came here (with his sister, Beatrice) when he was just a kitten. That was several years ago, and he's grown up to believe he's top cat around here -- although Beatrice might have something to say about that! The most interesting feature shared by Pancho and his sister is that they were both born without tails! You may notice Pancho in MANY of our product illustrations because he isn't shy about getting his picture made! In fact, he's quite a camera hog! Beatrice here is a big girl with a big attitude! She and her brother Pancho (see left) were brought to Cat Claws as little kittens. Neither one of them could be described as "little" any more! Beatrice's fluffy round middle is her most dominant feature, unless you note that she doesn't have a tail! She and her brother were both born tail-less, but Bea obviously doesn't need a tail to show the world she's 100% cat!
gehn hank
Gehn is always ready to strike a pose for the camera! He is fit and muscular and has amazing blue eyes. Gehn is very curious, loveable, and always into mischief! He hangs out with our only other blue-eyed cat, Siam, whenever he's not rummaging through the trash or trying to swipe food from an employee's lunch plate! Gehn showed up at Cat Claws' door one day and decided to leave his life of street living behind him. His favorite napping spot is an employee's lap. Hank is Holly' brother. He's pretty shy and retiring, so you won't see him in a lot of product photos. However, he does enjoy scratching on the Cat Claws Scratching Pad, and he's willing to flex his claws for a picture of the Scratching Pad, if the photographers are patient and let him decide when he'll get in front of the camera!
stuart siam
Stewart is a beautiful grey kitten. He showed up at the office from a local daycare and hasn't left. He's slowly getting used to all the cats and people. We've nicknamed him 'mooch' because when people are eating he's always first in line. We like to refer to Siam as our "thousand-dollar-cat." That's not because he was a champion in a cat show -- it's because of all the vet bills he racked up while recovering from being hit by a car! That's how he came to us: someone brought him to us one morning right after the accident, and he was in pretty bad shape. We whisked him straight to the nearby vet, and it took a while, but he did pull through. Cat Claws is his home now, and he's made one particular desk his very own. He shares office space, sometimes reluctantly, with Gehn. If you ever come to visit us, chances are, you'll find Siam curled up, snoozing, on top of "his" laser printer!

billy

lefty
Billy was named in honor of our boss, Bill, because it took him no time at all to convince our other cats that he was “top-cat.” Found about four years ago wandering around outside our office, this beautiful boy has been quite an asset to our modeling team and is frequently pictured using our products. His large frame, long hair and quiet nature indicate some Maine Coon in his ancestry, but as a stray we’ll never know for sure. Lefty was tossed into our office one night while the cleaning crew was here. His right front leg was paralyzed, and his broken jaw had mended crookedly, most likely from an encounter with a car. Eventually, we had his leg removed to make him more comfortable, and he has been doing great ever since. Lefty has a great personality and loves people, but he and Pancho don’t get along too well, so we have to separate them occasionally. A funny thing about Lefty is his tongue – due to his crooked jaw, when he grooms or drinks water, his tongue comes out sideways!
twix willie
Here's a cat who we can count on to put on a good show when we are shooting photos of cats with our scratching pads! He really enjoys the catnip and will claw away while we snap his picture -- and frankly, he's quite handsome, too! It's just too bad he's on the shy side. Twix was one of our rescued kitties; we took him in, had him neutered (you may notice the notched ear in his pictures), and then, well, we just decided to make him one of our own. He will model toys and scratchers nicely for our catalogs, but we understand that it's by HIS choice, and we just keep the camera on standby while we wait for him to display his antics! Willie was trapped several years ago in a neighborhood that was overrun with cats, and was taken immediately to the vet because of an infected eye. Aside from his bum eye, Willie is healthy and content living here in our office. He has been adopted out twice, and both times he remained hidden in his new home until he was finally returned to us. Once returned, though, he didn’t show any signs of trauma, and went about like nothing had happened! So we’ve decided he should just stay here. Because of his bad eye, he doesn’t appear in a lot of pictures, but you will see him every now and then modeling a product.
junior dave and dave 2
Junior is tall and long. He seems to be all legs and tail! Junior isn't "skinny," but he sure is lean! Every now and then he'll do a fine job of posing for a toy or scratcher photo, and then retreat back to his favorite cat tree. Junior isn't a real scaredy cat. He's just a quiet man who does his own thing.  Keith and Mick are the two guys we asked our customers to name! We posted their pictures on our web site (when they first showed up, as rescued kittens), and asked folks to suggest some names for the pair. They arrived as scrawny little things, afflicted with ringworm! But now they are quite a good-looking duo who enjoy life here in our office!
rafter Lilly
Rafter is a cat that we don’t see very often and we were lucky to get this snapshot of him. In the mornings he will sometimes be sitting out in the open, but once people start arriving and moving around, he scurries to run and hide. On rare occasions, we will catch a glimpse of him sitting by an open door (which normally means he want food). The reason for his name - he stays up in the rafters of one of the rooms in the office. Lilly is a sweet little tortie who is determined to always be in someone’s lap! She’s not the prettiest girl we’ve ever seen, but her easy-going, playful personality makes her a great model for our toys and scratchers, so look for her to be featured with many of our products.
patch buster
We received Patch around January of this year, and he didn’t waste any time making himself feel right at home. This cat is one in a million! He LOVES our certified organic catnip and any toy that has catnip on it; he can smell it all the way across the office. But don’t let his cute looks fool you… Patch wags his tail and rolls around looking sweet, but when you go to rub him he gets you! He isn’t a mean cat he just likes to play rough so watch out! Every once in a blue moon you’ll find Patch relaxing in someone’s lap and letting them pet him; however, he prefers the boss. He will sit patiently outside the boss’ office waiting on him to exit. If the boss doesn’t exit in a timely manner, Patch will make his way to the top of someone’s desk so he can peep in to the office and see what the boss is doing! Well I guess we have bad luck with some of our cats around here! Buster is another one of our three legged black cats. He is very playful and loves to have our full attention. Buster has a few chairs around the office that he believes should be his, and he lives by the rule, “shuffle your feet and lose your seat.” He loves to race people back to their chair once they are up in hopes that they will let him stay there.
casper fuzzball
Wow, what a beautiful cat! Casper came to us in March of 2006 and has pretty much made himself at home. In his household, Casper was the only cat, so now he would much prefer that he be the only cat around. Other than that he has adjusted just fine. He tolerates people and likes a few of the other cats but is a bit spooky. Casper likes to do his own thing without human interference. He is happy being in the presence of people without getting attention from them. Fuzzball is a handsome but quite mysterious Persian cat. He is a very friendly and loveable cat who always wants to be around people -- preferably sitting in someone’s lap. Unfortunately, he slobbers so bad that it’s nearly impossible to hold him for long because he is sure to leave several slobber spots on our clothing! You can always tell when he is sleeping because he will be snoring loud enough for us to hear.
lb peekaboo
LB has been her since he was a kitten. About a year and a half ago he came in with his brothers and sisters. Before we knew it, all his littermates were adopted and we were left with one Little Black Kitten. By that time, we had named so many cats and kittens throughout the years that we got a little lazy and kept referring to him as “the little black kitten” until he was no longer a kitten; we then shortened his name to LB. He is a very sweet little guy but a little spooky at times; however, if we can catch him lounging in a tree he will gladly let us give him a nice rubbing. That is as long as we will allow him to lick our hand in the process. Peek A Boo belongs to an employee but will be staying here in the office for a while. She is a very beautiful cat and loves to be petted and played with by people; however, she doesn’t want anything to do with any of the other cats!
spike kate
Spike is a gorgeous long-haired boy who resembles a Norwegian Forest cat. We inherited Spike when his previous owner died, but he seems to have settled in here nicely. He likes to lounge on our office manager’s desk, and when he’s not there, you can usually find him snoozing in the highest spot he can find. He is lovely, and likes people, but doesn’t really like to model, preferring instead to nap the day away, so when you see him featured in our photography, it is a rare spotting, indeed! Kate is a quiet girl with large round eyes. She likes people, but doesn’t seek out attention. She seems content to “do her own thing.” She has a striking black & white coat, but tends to be overlooked because of her quietness. Perhaps when she has been here a little longer, she’ll come out of her shell and you’ll see her in some of our photos.
pinky eddie
Named Gypsy for her exotic looks, this pretty little brown tabby had kittens at the local college. Her kittens died, but we took her in and we think she will be quite an asset to our crew. She’s a small, slinky cat, but she shows how she survived as a stray by holding her own against some of our big bullies. Look for her to be featured more often with our products. We think Eddie is a “return” from our adoption project since he was found at the post office in one of our cardboard carriers. He’s a pretty bi-color tabby who’s easy to work with, so we think we’ll keep him for photos. Eddie is a bit impolite, trying to “help himself” to our lunches or snacks, but we hope that we’ll be able to teach him some manners.
josh tommy
Josh has been here at Cat Claws since he was an adorable little kitten! He was a lonely orphan we found at our back door. He needed a mother's care, and Precious, who had a new litter of her own, was willing to adopt him. Josh was soooo pretty (for a boy!), and we were really looking forward to using him as one of our "model" cats to show with our products in the catalogs! Unfortunately, Josh never really lost his mistrust of humans from his baby days. We're not sure why, but he's extra-shy of people and it's rare that we coax him into posing for a photo shoot. That's a shame, too, because he is such an attractive feline! Tommy was a wild little stray kitten the local animal control officer trapped. He is a beautiful silver tabby, but he still doesn’t trust us enough to work with us for pictures. His adopted mom, Peggy, still nurses him, even though he is much too old for it, but we hope it will help him outgrow some of his anxieties.
spot meuwington
Spot likes to hang out on the back Porch with Rafter Kitty Meuwington Smythe arrived with her 2 siblings who were adopted out. She decided to stay. She can be found sleeping most days on our web guys' desk.
cringer elvis biscuit
This is Cringer. She is our silver tabby we just inherited. She's very loveable and seems to be fitting in just fine with the rest of our cats. You'll see her playing with our products and sleeping on our scratchers very soon. Elvis Biscuit arrived looking pretty ill. He was slow, skinny and shaking. We've spent some time nursing him back to health and now he's looking and feeling much better. Elvis definitely won't leave the building! He'll be featured with our products soon.
